Description: DURAN®+ is a clear-transparent, tough and abrasion-resistant PET-G thermoforming material with outstanding properties in terms of breaking strength, elasticity and dimensional stability. DURAN®+ belongs to the family of polyester resins, combining extremely low water absorption and highest biocompatibility (it does not require pre-drying).
The material has been tested and approved in terms of cell biology.
Indication: is ideally suited for all indications in prosthetic and orthodontic splint therapy, such as Miniplast splints,
occlusal splints with and without adjustments, CMD splints, retention splints, Essix retainer and palatal expansion.
As hard-elastic splint material, DURAN®+ is predestined for tooth transpositions, fine corrections and retentions in
splint therapy.

Pessure moulding: Full models should be embedded in the pellets and dental arcade models should be placed on the model platform.
As you can see from the imprint directly on the material or on the packaging labels, the heating times for DURAN®+ are
extremely short. The initial thickness of DURAN®+ will be reduced slightly depending on the model height. Make sure
to remove the integrated protection foil after taking off the splint from the model and prior to inserting it.
Finishing: Up to a thickness of 1.0 mm, DURAN®+ can be easily trimmed with SD-Foil scissors A (REF 3460). For thicknesses exceeding 1.0 mm, we recommend using the finishing set (REF 3378). Final trimming and polishing can be most effectively done with DIMO / DIMO® PRO discs (REF 3380-3384/3376). Compound and adjustment with cold cure resins such as
DURASPLINT® are possible without any problems. For most C+B and/or temporary materials – especially bis-acrylic
composites – the use of a bonding agent is recommended. Make sure to check the suitability of the corresponding
bonding agent prior to using it.
Cleaning/care: Products from the CETRON® range are the best choice for daily cleaning and care. Detergents or products on the base
of alcohol or plants (e.g. Pyralvex®) as well as hot water or steam jets should not be used.
Note: Heating times of less than 20 seconds can not be coded in BIOSTAR® devices. In these cases, the heating time must
be entered manually using the key with the „clock symbol“.
Storage: Protect from sunlight. Store in a dry place.

Description: BIOPLAST® is a soft elastic rubber-like thermoforming material made of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) that does not bond
to acrylic. BIOPLAST® has been tested and approved for its biological safety.

Indication: Duplicating moulds for plaster situation models, mouth guard, bruxism splints, positioner, OSAMU-Retainer®.

Model Preparation: If necessary, block out strong undercuts using BLUE-BLOKKER® before pressurizing. For model insulation we recommend BIOPLAST® insulating agent (REF 3189/3166). Apply one layer of the insulating agent to the model, making sure
to prevent the liquid from accumulating in the cavities as well as from drying out.

Pressure Moulding: We recommend to place dental arcade models on the model platform and to embed full models in the pellets. Adhesion
of pellets to the model and the resulting loss of pellets can be considerably reduced by using the pellet cover (REF 3006
large/REF 3007 small).

Finishing: You can reduce the splint to its final extension using SD foil scissors A (REF 3460) or B (REF 3461). The BIOPERM
trimmer (REF 3226), DIMO®PRO (REF 3381), DIMO®PRO SLIM (REF 3376) and POLYFIX (REF 3371) are best suited for
finishing. Best polishing results are achieved using the OSAMU polisher (REF 3247) at 5000 – 10000 rpm.

Cleansing/care: Our CETRON® cleansing and care products are the best choice for splints made of BIOPLAST®.

Storage: Protect from sunlight. Store in a dry place.
