Duran® SCHEU-DENTAL is a hard-elastic transparent material, bonds to acrylic. No pre-drying required.

Applications – occlusal splints and retainers.

For best results use with Isofolan spacer foil.

Intended purpose: Thermoplastic foils for the
manufacture of appliances and splints for dental
and orthodontic treatments.
Indication: Suitable only for the fabrication of
dental splints in different areas of application
such as aligner splints, retention splints, bite
splints and mandibular protrusion splints.

Contraindication: Allergic reactions to compo- nents of DURAN®/DURAN®+ (PETG) cannot be
ruled out in sensitised people.
Any use not stated above is contraindicated.
Storage: Store at 5°C to 35°C. Protect from
sunlight. Keep dry.
Important: Must only be used by qualified per- sonnel. For single use. Not suitable for partial
build-up with light-curing resins. Any serious
incident involving the product must be reported to
the manufacturer and the competent authority
immediately.
Safety information: The practitioner is responsible for correct use. The splint must not be used if
the material is cracked/broken/contains bubbles;
there is a risk of swallowing or aspiration. When
using DURAN® with 3D-printed models, a
non-perforated protective foil (ISOFOLAN®) or
alternatively DURAN®+ must be used. Remove
the protective foil after the thermoforming pro- cess. Do not bring the products into contact with
alcohol-based/organic solvents, hot water or
steam jets.

Scheu-Dental Biostar ®

Versatile pressure moulding machine for all applications in dental pressure moulding and orthodontics, equipped with scan technology and 6.0 bar working pressure, adjustable by pressure reducing valve on the unit. The unique thermally controlled infrared heater reaches working temperature in one second. All parameters such as temperature, heating and cooling times are programmed by reading the scanner or entering the corresponding code. The coloured 3.2″ LCD display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixel leads you through the single working steps of the pressure moulding process, providing further information on scanned material, its indication as well as a library with illustrated application hints for fabrication. Rear port for easy updates. Large model cup facilitates embedding of mounted models. Pellet container ensures optimum dispensing and storing of pellets.

A compressor is required to operate the Ministar

Important:

A manufacturer of medical devices must register with the MHRA (Medicines and Health Regulatory Agency) and must understand and comply with (MDR) Medical Device Regulations.

The regulations stipulate that appliances must be manufactured with acceptable materials and must be signed off by a GDC-registered person.

A manufacturing organisation requires a responsible person who is two years post-qualification and is competent in the area of appliance manufacture.

The Biostar^® comes with airline and Euro male connection, you will need a Euro quick release coupling 1/4inch for your compressor.

DURASPLINT® LC

DURASPLINT® LC Light-curing, transparent resin, specifically designed for the adjustment of DURAN® splints with a minimal thickness of 1.5mm. Doesn’t require curing in an autoclave. For polymerisation, we recommend using the LC 6 Light Oven, with pre-set polymerisation times of 5 or 10 mins. Curing in the wavelength of 350-450nm. Prior to processing, LC Primer has to be applied to DURAN® splints. No yellow discolouration of material after light curing.

Pack includes 3 bars (38g).
